About

My name is Nicholas Horvath

I am currently a Provisional Psychologist completing a Master of Clinical Psychology. I work with children, adolescents, and adults, providing assessment and therapies that are grounded in evidence-based practice.

Before training as a psychologist, I gained valuable experience working in community mental health, supporting families with complex needs. This background has shaped my ability to engage compassionately with people from diverse walks of life, and to approach care in a collaborative and practical way.

Outside of my professional role, I am actively involved in the local community as a youth basketball coach, where I support young people to develop resilience, teamwork, and confidence. I am also the parent of three children, an experience that gives me a grounded, relatable perspective on the realities of family life.

I combines my professional expertise with a genuine, down-to-earth style, creating a safe and supportive environment where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered to thrive.

I believe that psychology is not only about treating difficulties or stabilising challenges, but also about building on strengths and striving toward self-actualisation. I am committed to helping people discover meaning and create enriched lives that extend well beyond the therapy room.
