GEORGIA HILSDON

Psychologist

Georgia is a warm and down to earth psychologist. She is able to build a strong therapeutic alliance and genuine connection with her clients, which puts them at ease and allows them to feel comfortable to express themselves fully. Georgia has a strong passion for reducing the stigma of mental health and does so throughout her practice. Georgia’s optimistic, collaborative and strength focused approach to therapy enables her to help guide clients to reach their full potential and live fulfilling lives.

Georgia is registered with AHPRA as a General Psychologist. Georgia attended the Queensland University of Technology and  completed a double degree of Bachelor of Behavioural Science (Psychology) and Bachelor of Justice (Criminology and Policing). She then completed a Bachelor of Behavioural Science (Honours Psychology) where she wrote a thesis focusing on managerial leadership style and its impact on employee mental health within organisations.

Georgia has had experience working with adolescents and adults both in private practice and within community settings. Georgia is able to assist clients with concerns of depression, anxiety, grief and loss, PTSD, trauma, substance use and addiction, low motivation and self-esteem, workplace stress and injuries and relationship and interpersonal challenges.

When not in the clinic, Georgia enjoys camping, fishing, dirt bike riding, roller skating and listening to 80’s music.
